Everybody has heard of stock photos and even free stock photos (see my previous post on Free Stock Photos), to get those crisp images for your content, but did you know that you are missing out?

Enter the world of Free Stock Videos

If you haven’t entered this world yet, you need to do it soon.

Video content is a growing business, there is no doubt about that! According to Hubspot;

  • 81% of businesses use video as a marketing tool
  • The average abount of video content watched was 1.5 hours!
  • 72% would rather use video to learn about a product or service
  • People are more likely to share video content than any other media

But not everyone has access to professional video equipment and sometimes the video recorder in your phone is not enough. That’s when you turn to Free Stock Videos.

Here are a few (25!) sites that provides Free Stock Videos in some form or another.

25 Free Stock Video sites

  • Pexels – I use Pexels a lot for stock photos and now for stock videos too. They have great quality videos and all are under the CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) license which means that you can make changes and use the videos without having to ask for permission or use back links.
  • Crello – Another favorite of mine. A picture editing too, much like Canva, that I use regularly. Whit Crello you can create an animiated post which provides you with a short video that you can edit and add your own text.
  • Pixabay – Is another option for you weather you want 15 seconds clip or 60 seconds. They too have the videos under the CC0 license.
  • Videvo – Great video footage and motion graphics created by their community. Comes under 2 different licenses. One free of use but credit must be given and one free of use as long as you don’t make it downloadable.
  • Distill – Enter your e-mail address for a fresh supply of stock videos. Every 10 days you will get a new load in your inbox.
